Join us for AVIS Day and help support patients in need through blood donation. It’s a great opportunity to make a real difference, receive free health check-ups, and learn more about the donation process.

Time: 10:00 AM
Where: Transfusion Center Policlinico Paolo Giaccone, via del Vespro 12
Participants will also visit the transfusion center to discover how donated blood is processed, tested, and used to help patients.
Basic Requirements:
Be between 18 and 65 years old ; Weigh at least 50 kg ; Be in good general health ; Before Donation ; Bring a valid ID ; Complete a short health questionnaire and medical check-up ; A small blood sample will be collected ; Important : Have a light breakfast (avoid milk and fatty foods) ; Drink plenty of water ; Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before donating .
First-time donors: Anyone who has never donated before can complete a pre-donation screening and will receive the results after a couple of weeks.
